The Data tab lets you enter the text you'd like to appear on the label or define the information you'd like to appear on the label at print time, among other options.
Data Type is the only mandatory field.

Specify whether the field can remain empty at print time, and the maximum number of characters allowed at print time. You can also require that print-time information be entered in a specific format. If you select a print-time entry format, the operator will only be allowed to enter information in that format. Select a format:
