Right click on a text, rich text or bar code object and select .

Under the Data tab highlight the Database Data Type.

Click the button. The Database Data Source window appears.

THe source of Database data can be Microsoft Access, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, General OLE DB Provider, ODBC or a text file.
NOTE: You may need administrative privileges on your network to set up database connections.
Before adding database data to an object you must first connect to the database. All connected databases are listed in the Data Sources pane.
To add database data to an object:
Right click on a text, rich text or bar code object and select .
Under the Data tab highlight the Database Data Type.
Click the button. The Database Data Source window appears.
