To enter special characters in text fields, rich text fields, and most outside data sources, the following shortcut commands can be used. Hold the ALT key and enter the four-digit sequence to display the desired character.
NOTE: For the shortcuts to work, you must use a numeric keyboard to the right of the regular keyboard (the numbers at the top of the regular keyboard won't produce the special characters). If your computer doesn't have the numeric keyboard you can copy the special characters from the Microsoft Windows Character Map ().
