Using Design with enLabel IPM

enLabel Design works seamlessly with enLabel IPM to create, track, revise, and print/reprint dynamic labels and documents. It includes many features that enhance the workflow process.

Templates

Templates can be uploaded and downloaded between enLabel IPM and enLabel Design for easy editing.

Audit Logging

Each time an enLabel Design file is edited, all changes are automatically logged, ensuring that all revisions are properly recorded. Audit logs are available for viewing and printing through the Report feature of enLabel IPM.

Connectivity

When connected to IPM, the tables and views specific to your IPM application are visible in the toolbox pane of enLabel Design's Data Sources panel. You can drag and drop database information onto your label, which allows for dynamic template design and enables designers to see the printed product without switching to production mode.

Connect to enLabel IPM by following the steps in the Workflow Menu chapter.

Layers

The layers feature allows you to stack information on overlapping tiers, select the layer(s) to print, and use enLabel IPM data to populate the label. This is especially useful when the same information must be printed in multiple languages. In this case, select the layer(s) to print based on the ship to destination. enLabel IPM refers to this feature as "Destination Labeling".

The Get Destination Layers button in View > Layers  lets you connect to destination tables within enLabel's IPM Workflow module automatically.
