Checking Spelling in Design

The Check Spelling button can be found in the text, rich text or bar code properties windows.

By default, when you enter text in the Current Value box spell check is off. When it is turned on, possible spelling problems appear in the Current Value box with a wavy red underline.

To turn on/off spell check as you type:

• • 1. Choose Options > Preferences and select the General tab. Click the Spell Check Options button.

       OR

       Follow the steps to display the Text, Rich Text or Bar Code Properties window. Click Check Spelling, then click Options. The Spell Checker Options window appears.

    2. Check/uncheck Check spelling as you type to enable/disable it.

    3. Click OK.

To check spelling when entering a field:

• • 1. Follow the steps to add a text, rich text or bar code field until the Properties window appears.

       OR

       Right click on a text, rich text or bar code field and choose Properties from the menu.

    2. Click the Check Spelling button. If there are any misspelled words (words not found in the active dictionaries), the Spelling window appears.

    3. Select the appropriate button:

       • Ignore if you would like to skip the misspelled word and continue spell checking.

       • Ignore All if you would like to skip all occurrences of the misspelled word with the same spelling.

       • Change if you would like to highlight a word in the Suggestions box and use it to replace the misspelled word.

       • Change All if you would like to highlight a word in the Suggestions box and use it to replace all occurrences of the misspelled word.

       • Add if you would like to add the misspelled word to your custom dictionary.

       • Auto Correct if you would like to replace the misspelled word with the top match from the Suggestions box.
