Codabar Options

You can create a standard Codabar bar code or a Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute (CLSI) Codabar bar code.

NOTE: To create a CLSI Codabar bar code, select MOD 10 - CLSI as the check digit.

Start Character

Select a start character: A, B, C or D. If the data contains a possible start character in the first position, this selection is ignored.

Stop Character

Select a stop character: A, B, C or D. If the data contains a possible stop character in the last position, this selection is ignored.

Print Start/Stop Character In HR Text

Check if you would like to print the start and stop characters in human readable text.

  Check Digit

Choose your desired check digit: None, MOD 16, or MOD 10 - CLSI.

Print Check Digit In Human Readable Text

Check if you would like to print the check digit in human readable text.

Ratio

Enter the narrow to wide bar ratio. For example, if you would like the wide bar to be twice the size of a narrow bar, choose 2:1.

Columbia Library System Separation

Check if you would like to auto separate the human readable text using the CLSI format.

Inter Character Gap

Enter the inter-character gap value. The value you enter will be multiplied by the narrow bar width. So if you set a value of 1, the inter-character gap will be one narrow bar width.
