Merge Database Info

The Merge Database Info option fills a database field on a label or template A document saved with the extension .etd. A template file must be saved with a different name/version number each time it is edited. This allows you to track the documents' history. with the record you select from the connected database.  

NOTE: You must add the database field to your label before using this option.

To select a database record to merge:

• • • • 1. Add a data source Database to merge with label. to the label (see Connect and Create a Database Field).

        2. Choose File > Database > Merge Database Info. The Merge Database Info window appears.

           NOTE: If an error message appears, see the chapter,  Troubleshooting IPM Related Issues for causes and solutions.

        3. Highlight the record to merge.

           OR

           (If there are multiple pages of records) Use the Page Up and Page Down buttons to find and highlight the record to merge.

           OR

           Search for and highlight the record to merge (enter all or part of the search term in the Data Search box and click Search).

        4. Click OK.
