Maxicode Options

A Maxicode bar code encodes two separate messages: a primary message and a secondary message. The primary message usually encodes a postal code, a three-digit country code, and a three-digit class of service number. The secondary message usually encodes address data and any other required information.

Mode

The mode option is used to specify how the data is structured in the bar code.

 

Mode 2/3 Auto is for formatted data containing a Structured Carrier Message with a U.S. zip code (nine digits) or world zip code (six alphanumeric symbols).

 

Mode 4 is for unstructured data using standard error correction.

Zip Code

Enter the zip code you'd like encoded in the primary message.

Country Code

Enter the three-digit country code you'd like encoded in the primary message.

Service Class

Enter the class of service number you'd like encoded in the primary message.

Quiet Zones

Check to ensure a bar code reader can correctly identify the edges of a symbol.

Select the desired rotation angle: None, 90 Degrees, 180 Degrees, or 270 Degrees.
