Advanced Print Options

The Advanced button on the Print window lets you specify advanced print options.

 

Field Description
Print label outlines Select the Print Label Outlines check box to print a border around each of the labels on the page.
Print label annotation Select the Print label annotation check box to print annotations on the label.
Update serial number Select the check box to update serial numbers to the next starting number after printing. For example, when printing 25 labels starting at serial number 1, and incrementing by 1, the serial number is updated to 26 after printing.
Update date & time Select the check box to update date and time fields at print time.
Update starting record Select the check box to track records printed within a database. For example, when printing 25 labels starting with record 1, and using each record once, the next time the label is printed it begins with record 26.
Print entire merge file Select the check box to print all labels in a particular database. For example, when a label is linked to a database with 25 records, 25 labels are printed.
IMPORTANT: If more than one database is linked to a label, printing stops when one of the databases runs out of records. For example, when there are 25 records in one database and 100 in another, printing stops after 25 r
Adjust printer offset Select the check box  to shift the label inward by .25". This compensates for the printer's border, ensuring that everything is printed.
Print markup Select the check box to print any markup on the label.
To view or change advanced print settings:
          1. Click File > Print,  click the print icon Print icon , or type CTRL+P. The Print screen appears.
          2. Select the Advanced button. The Advanced Print Options screen appears.
          3. View or change the various settings.
